I was just wandering your website (as I do at least 2-3 times a week!) and it hit me....Bogey looks exactly like his grandma (Scooter). Except he is HUGE!!! He is 9 1/2 mos and weighs 17 lbs. But his coloring is identical to hers. He is the sweetest boy. He is very active and loves to play outside in the leaves, water, dirt, whatever he can get into. Jazzy, on the other hand, is petite ( about 8 lbs at 15 mos) and just a little princess. Although she enjoys a good romp in the yard, she would much rather sit on someones lap and be spoiled. They love eachother tremendously and Brad and I enjoy every moment with them. Attached are a couple of recent pictures of them right after being groomed. Hope you enjoy the update. Can't thank you enough for these wonderful companions. Rona S. |

Hi, Michele. I thought you might like to hear about one of your adopted babies. Our Nora is the apple of our eyes. She gets more love and attention than our kids did! She just completed puppy Training Classes at PetSmart. That was a hoot. There were five puppies: a lab named Miller, a fox terrier named King, a beagle named Sam (for Samantha), a rottweiler/shepherd mix named Kahlua, and Nora. Nora was the wildest, most excitable of the bunch. Also the smartest. King was a mean little dog, always nipping at people and growling. I didn't like him. Sam was adorable. She and Nora became good pals. At "graduation," all of the puppies were put through their paces. I fully expected Miller to do better than anyone else, as he was definitely the teacher's pet. But it was our little Nora who came immediately when called, "waited" when told to, sat down, lay down, and everything else right on command. I think everyone was surprised. I know I was. It was like she knew it was important to show the others up and make herself look good. And she did. From the time we had her two weeks, she's slept from 7:30 in the evening until 6 in the morning, although I wake her up at 9 and take her out one last time before we go to bed. But she goes right back to sleep. And the last time she had an accident was the day after Thanksgiving when she was three months old. When she has to go out, she sits at the glass doors and stares at herself. If we don't notice her, she jumps up on the couch and brings me her leash. Our yard is fenced in, but I out the leash on her to do her business so I know for sure she's done something. then I take it off of her. It sure made housebreaking easy! Nora is the most loving little 'person', and I've had a lot of dogs. My daughter-in-law, Rebecca, has never been a poodle fan but Nora changed all that. She often comments on what a sweet disposition and loving nature Nora has. Scott (my son) says they will definitely get a poodle when they get ready to have a dog. The first groomer I took her to did a terrible job. I almost cried when I saw her. He cut her back legs too short and didn't touch her front legs. He clipped half her face and ignored the other half. He didn't even TRY to trim her toenails or groom her feet. I could hardly wait until her fur grew out enough to take her someplace else. We were in Petco one morning. Nora was with us, so I went in to the groomer and asked her if she thought she could groom a very excitable, wiggly little poodle. She said it wouldn't be a problem, so I took her there a few days later.... And Nora looked gorgeous! She did a GREAT job. I had her do the Royal Dutch clip but will have just the Dutch clip when I take her back in a couple of weeks. And she did her feet, toenails, and inside her ears perfectly. She will be spayed next month and we're both dreading it and having her away from us overnight. She's such a big, happy part of our lives now. I hope all is well there and that more people have become happy poodle parents, as we have. Thanks for everything Shirley K., Florida Nora 2-27-06 and 8-21-06
